Let it Rain

Let it Rain

I see the tears in your eyes

why don’t they spill down your face?

No need to wear this disguise

it only covers your grace

You have nothing to lose,

why can’t you choose

to let your sorrows out?

pour down your sadness

and with it, all signs of doubt

Don’t be afraid to let it rain,

slowly then faster as your sobs gain

What seems like a dark time

will soon bring you sunshine,

when the clouds break away.

You’re the one with the mercy,

so sometimes you carry the blame

But you don’t deserve to ever carry the shame  And when a storm comes, and covers your sun,  and hovers with no sign of rain,

the lingering clouds

will only bring you more pain.

Don’t be afraid to let it rain,

slowly then faster as your sobs gain

What seems like a dark time

will soon bring you sunshine,

when the clouds break away.
